DESCRIPTION:The whole month of June every year is declared “Philippine Environment Month” by virtue of Presidential Proclamation no. 237 signed in 1998 by then President Corazon C. Aquino. \nThe Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) joins the global celebration of World Environment Day (June 5) through a month-long celebration geared towards increasing climate change awareness and an understanding of environmental preservation. This year’s theme “Raise Your Voice\, Not the Sea Level” recognizes the remarkable resilience of small islands to climate change.
